Outriders are heading to Xbox Game Pass for PC and Ultimate. And, there’s not long to wait at all with Polish developer People Can Fly’s co-op action RPG arriving on Microsoft’s subscription server no later than tomorrow, October 19th, 2021.

Microsoft also announced that Outriders Xbox Game Pass debut comes with cross-progression, but only with Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S versions, leaving those using Steam and PlayStation consoles forced to start the game anew should they make the jump to PC.

In tandem, Outriders on Xbox Game Pass also comes with cross-play, meaning you can jump in with all players regardless of platform, adjustable thanks to a toggle in the settings menu. That said, cross-play with the Stadia version is still in the works over at People Can Fly, with plans to launch sometime this November.

Outriders on Xbox Game Pass

For those yet to experience the game, Microsoft describes it as a ‘brutal RPG co-op shooter.’ Steeped in sci-fi goodness, it crutches on action-packed combat through a range of gunplay and skills afforded by four different classes, each equipped with a variety of unique abilities. Here’s a brief description courtesy of People Can Fly:

Outriders is a 1-3 player co-op RPG shooter set in an original, dark and desperate sci-fi universe. As mankind bleeds out in the trenches of Enoch, you’ll create your own Outrider and embark on a journey across the hostile planet.

People Can Fly also marked the occasion with a brand new patch set to roll out today. It incorporates the aforementioned cross-play support alongside several bug fixes to smooth out the experience for players.

Outriders launched on April 1st, 2021, for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and Google Stadia. For more on Outriders, be sure to check out the most recent patch notes for September.
