With the Xbox Series X/S now available and the PlayStation 5 available tomorrow, gamers want to make the best of these consoles. With framerates higher than they’ve ever been before on consoles, and new levels of visual fidelity, there’s a lot to be excited about. At the same time, there are some games you just can’t let go of. This is mostly solved by backward compatibility, but Overcooked is doing you one better. Overcooked All You Can Eat is now available on next-gen platforms, bringing you a fresh taste of indies. You can check out the delicious launch trailer below.
Overcooked All You Can Eat delivers 200 levels all made better by the console’s new hardware. Every level from Overcooked and Overcooked 2 has been remade, bringing the first game to modern standards and giving the second a facelift. Yes, that means there’s finally online co-op in Overcooked 1, which is big news in and of itself. You can play all these levels in 4K resolution at 60FPS, giving a beautiful and smooth experience across the board. Along with all the original content, you can find every bit of DLC content that’s been released for both titles. If you’re looking for a true cooking experience, Overcooked All You Can Eat is the way to go.
But this isn’t just your usual repackaging of content with a facelift, as new content is on offer as well. Peckish Rises, which comes free with a copy of the game, introduces seven new levels and three adorable new chefs. There’s even skins for existing chefs, giving a fresh look at some classic Overcooked costumes. All these new changes and updates join new achievements, accessibility options, an assist mode, and soon to be cross-play multiplayer.
