According to a Blizzard announcement made this week during the Overwatch League Grand Finals, Ramattra will be the upcoming tank hero to join Overwatch 2 Season 2. Ramattra was once a war machine who traded in his weapons for a shield to defend his people by fostering calm and harmony.
Everything You Need to Know Overwatch 2’s New Tank Hero, Ramattra
Another fresh new hero is already committed for the Overwatch 2 Season 2, as developers have previously stated. It is officially announced that Ramattra will join the Tank lineup in Season 2, closely following Kiriko in Season 1.
This is the first time players can assume the position of Null Sector’s ferocious leader. Ramattra, although having been designed to command an army, merely desired a better existence for his race.
Ramattra will be added to the game when Season 2 debuts on December 6. The new hero will immediately be available to players who buy the Season 2 Battle Pass Premium version. On the other hand, players must reach Level 55 to unlock him for those who choose the Battle Pass’ free option.
Ramattra joins the game as the 11th tank hero in Overwatch 2. Blizzard withheld some information, but we learned that he could change into two different forms. The Tank can switch between Omnic and Nemesis forms using a transform ability similar to Bastion.
Ramattra is more of a long-range tank in his basic Omnic form. He may defend his squad by erecting a wall while wielding a staff that shoots projectiles. In his most aggressive form, Nemesis, he transforms into a massive brawler with the ability to cut through the armor of enemy tanks.
Ramattra also has one shared Ultimate amongst these forms. However, when this Ultimate is activated, the Tank immediately transforms into its Nemesis form as part of the animation so that we can anticipate an aggressive blitz.
