Sigma wasn’t released right with the rest of the Overwatch 2 heroes, but he was definitely worth the wait! Though, a lot of people don’t fully understand him. He is a tank character that takes damage from a distance rather than the frontlines. It’s a strange concept that most haven’t considered, but it’s definitely a good one. Sigma can actually protect players that are on the front lines with his shield, and he actually dishes out decent damage numbers, similar to those of Junkrat. When you play him the right way, Sigma can be the difference between an epic win and a loss. Keep reading to learn all about Sigma’s Overwatch 2 hero tips and tricks, and his abilities.
Overwatch 2: How to Level Up Battle Pass Quickly
Best Playstyle for Sigma in Overwatch 2
The best place to find yourself as Sigma is a hallway! One of his coolest features is the ability to bounce his attacks off surfaces. You can bounce them off walls, and even into areas that you can’t see to hit unsuspecting enemies.
You should make sure not to be too close to enemies when playing as Sigma, though. His primary attacks detonate once they reach a certain distance, so being up close and personal with the enemies will cause you to take a massive hit to damage dealt.
Overwatch 2’s Sigma has a fast-charging shield that can be used to shield teammates that are closer to the action than he is. However, this is where the tanking comes in. When the opponents realize that Sigma is shielding the rest of the team, their focus will inevitably shift to him, letting your teammates deal more uninterrupted damage. His defense can be turned into health, making him an extremely valuable asset to your team!
