The recent leak of the Overwatch Mardi Gras event has turned out to be true, as Blizzard officially revealed the event, including new sprays and a new Epic skin for Ashe, today. Best of all, the event is already out, so you can go earn those sprays, player icons, and skin now.

Though we covered the leak yesterday, it’s nice to get confirmation of the event, as well as specific information (and images!) about the skin and sprays, from Blizzard itself.

The event will be running from today until March 9. During that time, there are a couple of different ways to earn Mardi Gras event-specific rewards. Those include playing the game itself, but also watching Twitch streams of Overwatch.

Earn by Playing

If playing Overwatch is more your style, you’ll be happy to know you will be earning rewards automatically. For every three wins, you achieve within the quick play, competitive play, or arcade game modes you’ll gain another unlock. With your first three wins, you’ll be able to dawn a pair of new player icons featuring Ashe and B.O.B., her robotic companion. Your next three wins will grant a Gold Mask Spray, appropriately Mardi Gras themed. Reach nine wins during the event you’ll receive the Epic Mardi Gras Ashe Skin, giving Ashe and B.O.B. each purple Mardi Gras themed garb.

Earn by watching on Twitch

If you’re looking for a more casual way to participate in the event, or just want all the sprays possible, you’ll have to link your Blizzard and Twitch accounts together. After doing so, you’ll unlock new sprays for Ashe every two hours you watch Overwatch. There’s a limit, of course, so after six hours you’ll stop earning rewards. Players who spend at least six hours watching will get all six Mardi Gras themed sprays.

Your first two hours will only net you a single spray, the King Cake Ball spray. Hour four brings with it two more, the Semlor and Beads sprays. Finally, upon watching six hours of Overwatch throughout the event, you’ll be granted three final sprays, Rex, Red Death, and Carnival. Each of these sprays features a different Overwatch character looking adorable in Mardi Gras themed outfits or poses.
