The holiday season is in full swing, and the heroes of Overwatch are ready to get in the spirit! As of today, the Overwatch Winter Wonderland 2021 event has officially begun, and it is full of festive goodies.
Much like the past events, Winter Wonderland has players playing 27 games to complete the weekly challenges in full. As of now, wins are worth two points. Week one awards players with an icon, spray, and skin for Wooltide Tracer. Week two awards players with an icon, spray, and skin for Mistletoe Symmetra. And last, but not least, week three awards players with an icon, spray, and skin for the Peppermint Bark Brigitte.
Fans are excited to see that D.Va finally got a holiday skin with the Sleighing D.Va. Other new skins include Reindeer Orisa, Snowman Wrecking Ball, Ice Wraith Genji, and Snowboarder Baptiste. Echo and Lucio got festive new emotes along with a slew of poses, icons, and sprays for various characters. Torbjorn also has a brand-new “Lava Angel” intro.
Past goodies such as Penguin Mei, Toybot Zenyatta, Krampus Junkrat, Sugar Plum Fairy Mercy, Rat King Reaper, Peppermint Sombra, and many, many more are available for purchase. The following missions will also be returning to the Arcade mode: Mei’s Snowball Offensive, Yeti Hunt, Snowball Deathmatch, and 4v4 Freezethaw Elimination.
Overwatch Winter Wonderland 2021 starts today, Thursday, December 16, and will continue to bring festive cheer to PC and consoles until Thursday, January 6. Overwatch is now playable on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S. Nintendo Switch and PC.
