The battle of the game streaming services has just begun, with Google joining it on March 19, and Microsoft is ready to jump in later this year, when it launches the first Project xCloud public trial. xCloud was revealed last October and is planned to be working on smartphone, tablets and any other device willing to support it. Nintendo Switch was at a certain point rumored to be doing just that, together with Xbox Game Pass, but it doesn’t look the case anymore....

Sony has recently revealed that it has a strong grip in Europe as the PS4 is selling very well all over that continent. VG247 interviewed SCEE president Jim Ryan and he revealed that the PS4 has a huge market share in most European countries. Ryan says he doesn’t think the market share for the PS4 drops below 70 percent in any European country. He goes on to say in some European countries, the market is “greater than 90%“....

Echo was announced as Overwatch’s 32nd hero yesterday and promptly made her way to the PC version’s PTR today. Echo fits in with the damage class of heroes and focuses on her mobility and projectile damage output. She also has one of the unique ultimates in the game. You can check out the developer update going into her backstory and abilities below. Her ultimate is called Duplicate. When using it, Echo will transform into a character on the enemy team for 15 seconds....

Sony has just announced that it has acquired Savage Game Studios, a mobile game developer, with the aim to expand the PlayStation audience to more people than ever before. Savage Game Studios’ co-founder and CEO Michail Katkoff said that PlayStation will respect their vision for the future and are not afraid to take chances. That, and the ability to tap into all of PlayStation’s IPs, will give the developer a vast catalog to pick from for future titles....

Pokemon is one of the biggest franchises in all of gaming, which is also celebrating its 20th anniversary. Bethesda released the first cinematic trailer for Prey 2. Prey 2 is the upcoming first person shooter that’s in the works from Human Head Studios & Bethesda. Set to release in 2012, the cinematic trailer below is looking fantastic. How this will translate over into gameplay, is yet to be seen.
