Ubisoft looking to make bigger, not just better looking games on next gen hardware. The next generation of consoles are on the horizon. The PlayStation 5, whatever Microsoft is calling their next Xbox — they’re not quite close enough to get excited about, but certainly not far enough out to not be thinking about, Ubisoft is. Lionel Raynaud Executive Vice President of Creative for Ubisoft’s Canadian studios sat down for a recent interview where he talked about a number of things regarding Ubisoft’s business, including the arrival of new technology that allows their developers to make bigger open worlds in the Assassin’s Creed, Far Cry, and Watch Dogs franchises....

Since its launch, getting a PlayStation 5 has been nearly impossible, requiring diligence from anyone that wants to nab the next-gen console. Multiple factors have fed into the limited stock of PS5s, including an ongoing shortage of semiconductors. According to Bloomberg, Sony CFO Hiroki Totoki said that PS5s might be hard to come by well into 2022. “I don’t think demand is calming down this year and even if we secure a lot more devices and produce many more units of the PlayStation 5 next year, our supply wouldn’t be able to catch up with demand,” Totoki said to an analyst....

Poco recently confirmed the launch of a new F-series phone, both globally and in India. While it didn’t reveal the name of the smartphone, we expect it to be the Poco F4. Pokemon Go has announced its first major sponsorship deal in the US, teaming up with Sprint to add thousands of new Pokestops and gyms to the game. These new hotspots will all be located at Sprint stores and retail locations. The Pathfinder role-playing games provided a different spin on the Dungeons & Dragon rulebook and now Obsidian Entertainment is using the license to bring a different spin to digital card games. Pathfinder Adventures was given a release date Thursday for Apple iPad and Android tablets that provides a co-op touch to the collectible card game genre. Atlus has shared a brand new trailer for Persona 5: The Royal, on top of revealing more details about the new content that is being worked on for this second release of the game. The title will be launching on October 31, 2019, in Japan, and a Western localization – although lacking a proper release date, of course – is expected to drop sometime in 2020.
