The original Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time is a special game, so when a remake was announced, fans of the original 2003 adventure were excited. Nearly 20 years later, a remake is on the way — and still is. Most recently, the remake changed studios, moving under the control of Ubisoft Montreal. At that time, Ubisoft promised it would share more information “in a future update.” That was a month ago, and it seems such an update is necessary now....

After a few years of keeping the same pattern of weekly releases with PS Plus, Sony decided to make a change recently that has now gone into effect. Rather than the one or two games that we typically got each week, we now get a batch of six games to start each month, with two for each Sony platform. While we found out last week the games that we would be getting, we thought it would be worth mentioning them again, since they are now available for download at no cost for PS Plus subscribers....

Right on cue, Sony has revealed the PS Plus October line-up. Next month, subscribers can look forward to playing Hell Let Loose, PGA Tour 2K21, and Mortal Kombat X. Overwatch 2 expands upon the original game in quite a few ways. Some of the most notable advancements are the changes and reworks made to multiple existing characters. OnePlus 7 Pro has officially been unveiled today and it comes with a new version of the company’s Android ROM, OxygenOS 9.5, installed on top. The snappy experience is still pretty much the same, except for that there are a number of new features that’ve been added to OxygenOS, including the Zen Mode. Activating the Zen Mode is super simple. OnePlus has added a quick settings tile for this feature in the notification shade, so you simply need to tap the same to enter this mode....

Fans of the Monster Hunter genre are eagerly awaiting the January 26th release date of Monster Hunter: World, at least if they prefer to play on console. Those waiting for news of the PC release of the game just got what they’ve been waiting for, though the keyword here is “waiting”. Given the lack of any real updates on it since its 2020 announcement, it’s easy to assume that Microsoft’s reboot of Perfect Dark is still many years away from releasing. While there remains no news on a potential release date or even when we’ll get to see a new trailer (let alone any gameplay), developer Crystal Dynamics wants to assure people that work on the project is going swimmingly. CEO Phil Rogers has gone so far as to say that development is going “extremely well,” addressing Perfect Dark during a recent earnings call for Crystal Dynamics’ new parent company Embracer Group....

PETA is combating the animal testing at Elon Musk‘s Neuralink by urging Twitter users to call out the billionaire Tesla owner. A rep for the animal rights organization spoke to TMZ concerning the issue. The rep disclosed that Neuralink and the University of California-Davis have hands in the death of at least 15 monkeys. It’s a result of Musk’s desire to stick a chip in a human’s brain. According to PETA, other companies started this experiment about 20 years ago....

PlayStation VR launched last October around the world and like most launches, there were some games that were exclusive to Japan. One of those games was the much talked about Summer Lesson, which was since announced as getting an English release in Asia and now we have a release date for that version. Summer Lesson became a topic of discussion around the launch of PSVR for a few reasons. The game is said to be one of the most immersive VR games, but the whole teaching a school girl thing definitely led to some creepy stuff online....

Strength is a Hidden Move (HM) in Pokémon Brilliant Diamond/Shining Pearl that players will need to move large boulders around. Particularly in caves, gray rocks will block the player’s path making the area inaccessible for exploration. However, once Strength HM has been unlocked, players can push any gray boulder by pressing the A button and walking in the blocked direction. Tyranitar, the final evolution form of Larvitar and Pupitar, is a Rock- and Dark-type Pokémon that serves as a Tier-3 Raid Boss in Pokémon GO. Wielding 23,779 Combat Power, this Johto Pokémon can be soloed by a high-level Trainer or be fought with at least two lower-level players. As a Rock- and Dark-type Pokémon, Tyranitar is resistant to Normal-, Flying-, Poison-, Ghost-, Fire-, Dark-, and Psychic-type Moves. Conversely, this Raid Boss’s dual-type attribute makes it vulnerable to Ground-, Bug-, Steel-, Water-, Grass-, Fairy-, and especially Fighting-type abilities in Pokémon GO....

To kick the start of 2023 off for Pokémon Go players, next year’s Go Tour event will center around the Hoenn region, and there will be an in-person event in Las Vegas. The entire Hoenn region will be arriving for this event, adding a long-awaited Pokémon and the Primal Reversion forms for Kyogre and Groudon, making these already staple Pokémon even more powerful. The in-person event will be at Sunset Park from February 18 to 19 from 10 AM to 6 PM local time....

Square Enix and developer FuturLab are thrilled to bring their “soothing” first-person indie PowerWash Simulator to the Game Pass service.
