Since 2015, the North Carolina-based Millennium Print Group was a business partner, but their relationship with The Pokémon Company is about to drastically change. The Pokémon Company has announced that it has entered an agreement to purchase Millennium Print Group, although an exact sum wasn’t shared. Said group will remain autonomous, but it will receive an investment and industry expertise as The Pokémon Company wishes to expand and develop the group’s capabilities and infrastructure....

A group of Star Wars archivists shared previously unseen gameplay footage for the canceled Star Wars: 1313 on Wednesday. The footage showcased Boba Fett wandering through Coruscant’s seedy underworld, before pursuing one of his bounties in a rooftop chase. The footage was uploaded to YouTube by the Vault Project, a group best known for researching another well-known canceled Star Wars game, Battlefront III. The group claimed they had obtained the footage from James Zachary, a game developer who previously served as animation director for Star Wars: 1313....

Update (2/1/21): Veteran leaker Centro Pokemon has disputed the claims of possible Pokemon Diamond and Pearl remakes holding catching elements first used in the series’s more lighter, simplistic Switch title, Pokemon: Let’s Go Pikachu and Eevee. “There’s no reason to think it will have [Let’s Go] mechanics,” the insider, best known for their own Diamond and Pearl-related rumors, wrote on Twitter. Although they didn’t expand on this, Centro Pokemon also went on to say that these supposed remakes have been in development even before the release of Sword and Shield, and that they may bear the same engine as the past Switch installments....

It is rumored that Sony is planning on implementing serial keys with all new Blu-ray discs on the PlayStation 3. This would be a similar method to how PC games work currently. These keys would lock to a specific game which means that this new functionality could cripple the PS3 used games market as well. If implemented this would be the first legitimate attempt at a DRM on consoles. There are a lot of great things that the DRM can do for developers and publishers....

This year’s Black Friday drove a surge in hardware and software sales in the UK, with combined sales of PS4 and Xbox One improving 3% compared to 2016. Sony’s platform had specially a good week, with the strongest performance on Black Friday since 2013, which coincided with its launch week. In the case of PlayStation VR, the heavy discounts provided the headset with its best week of sales since its release, with a number equivalent to the sales of the past 18 weeks combined....

Paladins will add its latest Champion with the Heart of Darkness update, and her name is Lillith. As a Blood Mage with lots of vampiric flair, it’s easy to imagine Lillith as a brutal damage-dealer, but she is also a Support. Paladins is unique among hero shooter games in that Support characters can build their loadouts for damage and stand toe-to-toe with opponents rather than cowering behind their Tanks, and Lillith is a good example of this design....

That seems to be the strategy here as Nintendo dropped some huge news today in the form of Paper Mario: The Origami King. A new game for Nintendo Switch, this marks the action-RPG’s debut for the latest console from the Big N. And this isn’t some port or remaster of an old game, it’s brand new and looks pretty fantastic so far, featuring the color, charm, and humor that the series is well known for....

You will need these for the Reuniting the Eventide Rookery Triumph if you want to go for the Splintered Title this season. This guy can be found in the Riis Reborn area of the Eventide Ruins. Spawn in at Varik’s base, then head all the way north. When you arrive in Eventide Ruins make your way to the elevator that leads up to Riis Reborn....

All of this pandemonium couldn’t distract me from the apprehension I felt before picking up the controller. When 343i first detailed the game, I had more than a few questions and points of worry. But after just a single game, those doubts seemed to just wash away amidst the chaotic glory that is Halo multiplayer. Needless to say, the excitement was palpable and the line to get in was long, yet I managed to finagle my way inside and am now more than happy to report that my time with Halo 4multiplayer wasn’t just good, it was sensational....

The PlayStation Studios brand is growing. Most recently, Sony moved to acquire Bungie for $3.6 billion. Sony Computer Entertainment America’s CEO, Shawn Layden was challenged and decided to take it as a team and had PlayStation’s staff at the San Mateo HQ take the challenge with him.
