Twelve years in, Pokémon TCG Online is being replaced Pokémon Trading Card Game (TCG) Online is set to permanently shut down prior to the launch of its upcoming successor, Pokémon TCG Live. While the exact timing is yet to be announced, The Pokémon Company confirmed on the official Pokémon website that Pokémon TCG Online’s servers will shut down, and the application will be removed from the Google Play, App Store, and official website before the worldwide release of Pokémon TCG Live....

On September 28th, 1998, Pokémon Red & Blue released in the United States. Two years after Japan’s release of Pokémon Red & Green, Pokémon would eventually become a worldwide phenomenon. Nintendo of America has announced that the combined sales in the US for Pokemon Black & White have reached over one million units on the first day of sales. Nintendo’s internal data sugest that 1.08 million copies of the games were sold when both versions launched on March 6th. Platinum Games has a lot on its plate as of now, with Astral Chain releasing on Nintendo Switch in August, Babylon’s Fall for Square Enix on PC and PS4, and Bayonetta 3.
