A new Safari Zone event for players in Taiwan is coming to Pokémon Go on Feb. 26 The event will increase the likelihood of players finding an Unown, Dragonair, Dratini, Mr. Mine, and Growlithe throughout the world, giving players a chance to complete their Pokédexes. Mr. Mime was originally a region exclusive Pokémon to Europe, so players from Taiwan will be given a few days to try and get it. No plans have been announced for the event to roll out to other countries around the world....

Michael Pachter, an games industry analyst at Wedbush, believes that if Nintendo doesn’t get their act together the Wii U could be a first party only platform. What’s first party only mean? That only Nintendo would be making games for the new console. In a note to investors, Pachter explains his theory, which lays out the reasons why he thinks this is a possibility for the struggling Wii U. “If the Wii U’s popularity does not improve by the end of the year, many third-party publishers may pass on producing games for the console,” says Pachter....

The next legendary spell from Hearthstone‘s next expansion has been unveiled. Legendary spells are new to The Boomsday Project, with each class getting one for the very first time. Kangor’s Endless Army is a seven mana spell that resurrects three friendly Mechs that died that game. The Mechs will retain any Magnetic upgrades received by being fused with other Mechs. Obviously, this spell will live or die on whether or not Mech Paladin ends up being good....

The two biggest and most beloved idiots of the 90s are back. Paramount+ has dropped the trailer for the upcoming film Beavis, and Butt-Head Do the Universe trailer. The film, which was without a title just a few months ago, is now set to release on Paramount+ on June 23. The Hollywood Reporter says that the film is a sequel to the 1996 film Beavis and Butt-Head Do America, and it will feature the iconic duo up to their old antics, though this time they somehow find themselves in the last place either of them belong: outer space....

Phasmophobia has today launched its major 0.6.0.0 update, so here’s the full list of changes and fixes with this patch. The PS3 has had some forays into cross platform play with PC players, most notably Portal 2 and Final Fantasy XIV. While Microsoft had explored cross platform play with Shadowrun, it was subsequently abandoned due to the the superiority of mouse and keyboard versus controllers for FPS’s. Google’s announcement about their new gaming platform, Stadia, took plenty of industries by surprise, earlier yesterday at GDC 2019. Google is stepping in to introduce a cloud-based gaming service where players can play high-quality, triple-A games from their Google Chrome browsers on nearly any device with a decent internet connection. Over the past year or so, those over at Xbox have talked about they’re slowly getting ready to make their way over the cloud service network, too....

Sony is banking on the fact that gamers will see past this holiday season when compiling their Christmas wish lists in 2012. While lacking a big exclusive title on the PlayStation 3 that rivals the likes of Microsoft’s Halo 4 on the Xbox 360, Sony’s VP of Marketing believes that gamers are smart enough to see the big picture. “You’re buying into a system that has not only a great holiday ahead of it, but a great future ahead of it over the next few years,” said John Koller of Sony....

As usual, Sony has not released their sales data for the month of October with the NPD data. However, the company did once again crown their software lineup as the strongest in the industry. Sony, believes that the console is ready for a great holiday season and is seeing increased momentum in 1st and 3rd party sales.
