The Pokemon Company has been showcasing its annual Pokemon anniversary celebration more and more with every passing year. The team certainly feels an attachment to the event and the fandom response generated. In the last few years, the celebrations have hosted special news presentations. The Pokemon Presents live streams are always full of the latest information on what’s new and upcoming. With so many projects in the works simultaneously, it can be pretty easy to lose track of their progress....

Gamestop has now listed another special controller and this one is for use for the Wii U version of Pokken Tournament. However, this is not just a listing for a controller as it also includes a copy of the game itself. Gamestop is calling it the “Pokken Tournament with Wii U Pokken Tournament Pro Pad Bundle” The product details for the controller are: “Officially licensed by Nintendo and Pokemon Wired USB controller exclusively designed for Pokkén Tournament Ergonomic design and button layout optimized for Pokkén Tournament”...

Sony will be announcing something later this month in regards to the future of the PlayStation brand. Many believe it to be the announcement of the PS4, that we will hear in a few weeks. As expected, once this console has been revealed, we can start to get a clearer picture of what Sony will be offering with their next generation hardware and features. Ouya, one of the more notable crowdfunded gaming consoles, will close its online store services after six years on the market. A company once valued at a billion dollars is getting the same response as Blockbuster’s closing with “huh, that’s still around?” Word broke today that the Android-based system is shutting down on June 25th, 2019. Any titles requiring Store connectivity will be unplayable after that date. While the console died years ago, the Ouya Store was living on through parent company Razer’s Forge mini-console....

PlayStation Plus is giving away free Monster Hunter World PS4 digital copies, but only in certain territories. Just when you thought Poco was done rebranding Redmi phones and will be launching original phones, starting with the latest Poco X3 that was unveiled yesterday. The Pokémon GO mechanics work better than you’d think. I’ve been a Pokémon fan my whole life. I’ve played every mainline game from Red/Blue to Gold/Silver to Ultra Sun/Ultra Moon and loved them all. When Pokémon: Let’s Go, Pikachu! and Eevee! were announced, I was obviously excited for new Pokémon games, but I wasn’t without skepticism.
