Developer MOB Games today premiered a new trailer for Poppy Playtime: Chapter 2. The first game was an indie smash hit, and the sequel has been highly anticipated ever since a small teaser trailer was shown for it late last year. Today’s trailer is a combination of cinematics and gameplay. The cinematic side of the trailer focuses on the player’s character being dragged away by a horrifically elongated pink arm that players are sure to become very familiar with....

This is the way. The Mandalorian Season 3 is finally in production according to Carl Weathers, who portrays Greef Karga. Many Star Wars fans have been waiting for updates on when the next season of this series would be coming and now we at least know that it’s finally moving forward. It looks like the upcoming PlayStation 4 firmware for the console will be releasing this month. According to a recent tweet from Sony’s European PR team revealed earlier this morning. The tweet reads: “Heads-up: PS4 firmware update 1.70, inc. SHAREFactory and HDCP Off, goes live on 30th April. More soon!” The update brings about the recently revealed SHAREFactory features that allow for deeper editing of captured footage on the PS4....

Overwatch 2 was released a few weeks ago, but the patches are already getting slow. If we consider that there are still things that need to change in the game, it’s annoying to see lazy updates. The first updates were mostly nerfing for the characters, thanks to the bug-fixing marathon in the open beta process. The number of updates released since the game’s release isn’t inadequate. When Microsoft announced its acquisition of Activision, one immediate assumption was that the Call of Duty franchise would release solely for Xbox going forward. However, Microsoft would later insinuate this wouldn’t be the case and that certain Activision titles would continue to release for other platforms, such as PlayStation. Very recently, Xbox boss Phil Spencer even told The Verge that an agreement had been signed with Sony to ensure Call of Duty games would release for PlayStation for at least “several more years” after Sony’s own contract with Activision had expired....

Updated Story: The Pokemon Company has released a statement through their Twitter page to say that their team is “investigating the Pokémon Omega Ruby and Pokémon Alpha Sapphire special demo code issues” and to stay tuned. However, the codes seem to be popping up sporadically, as I was able to access mine now, but others still can’t. Keep an eye out on the initial email and make sure to “view the email online” or something similar, depending on your email service, for the best chance to see it....

The right kind of streamlining. The Pokemon series has always had the setup of six Pokemon in your party at one time, with the rest being placed into a box inside the in-game PC. This has always meant having to run back and forth to Pokemon Centers in the game just to switch out party members. The removal of HMs helped make this less of a problem in Sun and Moon, but now Pokemon Sword and Shield have made the process even easier with the ability to switch them out on the go....

It appears Polyphony Digital is currently in development for Gran Turismo 7 as the studio has posted job vacancies in search for several new staff.
