An Overwatch developer update video from game director Jeff Kaplan has given fans a few things to look forward to. Included in this nearly ten-minute long video are details about changes to the communication wheel, improved competitive queuing, and Workshop changes. One new feature Blizzard is working on is the ability to customize the communication wheel. This includes a list of new commands, fully voice acted by every hero. These commands include fall back, sorry, goodbye, and a countdown....

The sequel to the musical fan favorite has arrived, fully remastered for players new and old. Patapon 2 Remastered launches onto the PlayStation Store January 30, with remastered 4K graphics. Patapon and Patapon 2 first released on the PlayStation Portable, and since have become cult classics for their charming style and music. The first Patapon was remastered and released last year, so it makes sense that Sony would also update the second game....

Paytm is planning to unify bank transfers on the platform with the launch of a new ‘My payments’ feature. The feature, which will focus on recurring, high-value payments, and other monthly expenses, is expected to result in a six-fold growth in monthly bank transfers made on the platform. Abbot further revealed that moving forward, Paytm’s home page will start showing personalized options for services and payments depending on the individual user’s transaction history....

The pirate group 3DM has gone on record saying that they are putting their cracking efforts on hold for an entire year, which they revealed to TorrentFreak recently. Apparently, they will stop cracking games to see what kind of impact it will have on the gaming market. If sales grow they’ll assume that their efforts have had a bad impact on the industry, and if they don’t then they’ll continue doing what they’re doing, supposedly....

PlatinumGames has announced that it will host a live stream tomorrow for its upcoming shooter Sol Cresta. Curiously, the stream’s title is “Sol Cresta: Hideki Kamiya’s Very Sorry Stream.” It is will be around one hour in length, and viewers can tune in at 10 PM CT. There are few details regarding what the stream itself will showcase, but the pre-emptive apology in the stream’s title suggests that the game might get delayed — or it could be a reference to Kamiya’s blunt personality, defined by his tendency to block people on Twitter....

After a short break we have the latest sales numbers from Japan, which includes both Christmas week as well as the first week of the new year. As expected, the numbers have stayed pretty consistent through these last few weeks, with some systems rising and others falling for various reasons. One thing is clear though, the New 3DS LL is the dominating force in Japanese gaming at this time. Sales of the handheld device have remained consistently high, with it remaining above 75,000 for the last three weeks, topping out over 100,000 for two of them....

It’s not the grandest change in the world, but it does alter how trophy levels work. While we have to wait another month to get our hands on the PlayStation 5, Sony has decided to release a minor overhaul to their Trophies system today. In an article over on the PlayStation Blog, Toshimasa Aoki, director of Product Management at SIE, detailed the changes that are being made to Trophies. PlayStation Trophies will see their levels redone, and your existing progress will carry over to the PS5....

Superstar singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran’s love for Pokémon is no secret. The best-selling artist has been tied to the brand before, having once held a series of special performances with Pokémon Go. He debuted a new song with that show, and now he’s doing it again. As announced on Ed Sheeran’s official Twitter account, another Pokémon song collaboration is on the way. One of the featured Pokémon for the upcoming week’s Raid Hour is Cobalion. During the Raid Hour, players worldwide will see an increase in the number of Tier 5 Raids, all of which will host either Terrakion, Virizion, or Cobalion. Pokemon is celebrating the 20th anniversary of the series in a number of ways, both big and small.
