Pokémon from the Sinnoh region may start appearing soon. Niantic have been celebrating the second anniversary of Pokémon GO, which took place on July 6, with a number of both in-game and real-world events. The company’s latest celebration of this milestone, however, is one that seems to promise the inclusion of new Pokémon into the game soon. The three legendary birds from the original Pokemon Red and Blue (or Green for you Japanese players) are making a big return in May. A special Pokemon promotion will give players the opportunity to get all three birds for free. Pokemon Sun and Moon were expected to be huge sellers and the predictions were right. The game’s launch in Japan is going really well. As reported by Famitsu, Pokemon Sun and Moon sold 1,905,107 units in its first three days on sale in Japan. This figure does not include digital sales. It has been noted that Pokemon X and Y sold slightly better at its launch with 2,096,050 units. Sun and Moon’s success is still impressive though as it’s in the top ten biggest game launches in Japan....

Let the guessing games end about how Valve plans to support their latest release, Portal 2. Valve has just issued a statement containing the contents of the first DLC for the game on Xbox 360, PS3, and PC. In the statement, Valve says that the content will be free to all platforms and offer new test chambers, leaderboads, and challenge modes for single and multiplayer portions of the game. Phantom Dust was a huge surprise announcement back at E3 2014, but since then the project has seen nothing but trouble. This eventually led to the cancellation of the complete remake of the cult classic title, but a remaster was promised to arrive some time this year. Fans waited in anticipation, but no firm release date has been announced, but according to Phil Spencer Phantom Dust’s Xbox One release will come before E3 2017....

Phil Spencer has informed his Twitter followers that he’s once again in Japan for a work trip on behalf of Microsoft’s Team Xbox. The Executive Vice President at Xbox is in Japan to meet publishers, developers, and discuss with them what’s about to happen in “2020 and beyond.” “Great to be back in Japan with the team talking and listening to amazing studios and publishers about 2020 and beyond,” said Spencer in a tweet....

A bunch of new desert-themed Pokémon from the third generation of games are being added to Pokémon Go right now. In addition to the 77 Hoenn Pokémon already in the game from the Hoenn region, Niantic is adding an additional 23 the total amount of generation three Pokémon in the game to 100. The Pokémon currently confirmed to be in the game in this update are Aron, Lairon, Aggron, Cacnea, Cacturne, Numel, Camerupt, Whimsur, Loudred, Exploud, Trapinch, Vibrava, Flygon, Lunatone, and Solrock....
