After waiting for more than a decade, and looking at Paradox Interactive wrapping up their ‘Paradox Insider’ event on Twitch in March this year, the curtains were finally removed at the PDX Con 2021 when Victoria 3 was officially announced.
The latest addition to Victoria: An Empire Under the Sun and its sequel Victoria II is now closer than ever before.
Paradox Interactive, at the PDX Con ReMixed, released a word on the latest installment of the world’s most awaited strategy game and challenged fans to take control and govern a 19th-century state with the goal of becoming the most powerful nation in the world. The grand strategy game was announced via a press release. It read, “After years of community requests and curiosity about the future of one of the company’s iconic games, Victoria 3 is instantly one of the most highly anticipated grand strategy games in Paradox’s history.”

Just like the game’s royal name, a player has to manage his own military, take care of his countrymen and citizens, and grow their industries to progress. For most of the fans who enjoyed Victoria 2, this becomes an addictive journey, for which many have waited in hope for quite some time.
Assisting the tone of the game, and the strategy behind Victoria 3, the press released added:
With plots fueling the player’s hold on his social and economic progress as well as yielding a scientifically progressive world in the process, Victoria 3 will expand on the concept of societal stimulation and awareness. This, if not new, will be one heck of a revolutionary process in the gaming industry, come next year.

The official date has not been announced yet but Victoria 3 will be available on Steam, Xbox Game Pass, and the Paradox Store.
