2013 was the last time we got a numbered Pikmin release. This is a fun franchise with some memorable and cute characters. Now, 10 years later, we are getting a new entry. During today’s Nintendo Direct, Pikmin 4 was announced. With it, a lot of new things came to light. Things like how we’ll be experiencing the game, how the Joy-cons will play a massive part in it, and more. The Pikmin 4 release date has a window now. No specific date, though. Yet, while we wait, we can continue playing Pikmin Bloom, which also got a bit of time during today’s Nintendo Direct.

As we mentioned above, the window for the Pikmin 4’s release is 2023. This could mean a lot of things. It could arrive sooner than expected or all the way to the end of the next year. Waiting will be hard, but we hope to get more updates as time goes by. Regarding the gameplay, while we didn’t see any today, we got a trailer. In this trailer, we see how the characters look. We don’t know if this is the final look of the game, but so far, everything seems great. Controlling a Pikmin army will be easier now. The creator mentioned the word “Dandori,” which is a way of saying strategic planning. Something that will play a huge role in the next entry. So far, all we know is that Pikmin 4’s release on Nintendo Switch is due next year. We really hope that we get some further news related to Pikmin 4’s release date.
