The Planet Zoo: Australia Pack will bring the outback to you when it releases next Tuesday. The pack, which includes five news species and a barrage of foliage, scenery pieces, and zoo construction pieces, will release alongside a free content update for all players.

Planet Zoo: Australia Pack

The animals included in the Planet Zoo: Australia Pack are the koala, red kangaroo, dingo, southern cassowary, and the blue-tongued lizard. Players can use the new landscaping and architecture pieces to build the perfect habitat for these new animals. The Planet Zoo: Australia Pack also comes with new timed scenarios, making players complete objectives before time’s up!

Players can purchase the DLC for $9.99 when it releases on Steam next Tuesday.

Planet Zoo free 1.3 update

Alongside the Planet Zoo: Australia Pack is a free update, bringing the game up to version 1.3. This free update includes additional foliage and animal enrichment items, the ability to select multiple members of your zoo’s staff, a new sandbox map, and numerous other fixes and improvements. Additionally, the free update will bring another aspect of genetics to Planet Zoo with a new system of determining animal color variations based on their genetics. This will make identifying different herds, or even individuals within a herd, easier. The color and pattern information will also be available from the Animal Market trading window, making it easier to accomplish your breeding goals.

Planet Zoo has released several content updates before this, including the South America Pack back in April, which also came alongside a free update. If you don’t yet own it, Planet Zoo can be purchased on Steam for $44.99. We thought the game was great when we reviewed it last year. A Premium Edition bundle is available for $65.41 and includes extras, including some DLC packs.
