World of Warcraft isn’t supposed to work with Microsoft’s Kinect motion camera, but don’t tell that to the guys at the Institute for Creative Technologies at the University of Southern California.    The developers of FAAST, the Flexible Action and Articulated Skeleton Toolkit, put on a demonstration of how the software can be used to control “off the shelf” games.

These are games that would not normally support motion sensing devices.  By default FAAST emulates keyboard inputs triggered by body posturing and gestures, and in turn this opens up a world of possibilities for the motion controller which many seem to think caters to the casual.
