Sony’s recently announced PlayStation All-Stars title could be heading to the PS Vita according to the game’s director, Omar Kendall. Kendall told fans to “stay tuned” for an announcement, in a recent interview with Digital Trends. The director also said that the studio has plenty of news to share coming out of E3 2012.
“We’re going to be announcing characters and environments and all that from now until the game comes out. I think E3 will be really informative for people with questions about our roster.” Right now SuperBot is looking to release PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale for holiday of 2012.
Could a PS Vita version be one of the things that Sony announces at E3? With just a couple of weeks to go until the show, we could have a more definitive answer here shortly. It wouldn’t be much of a surprise to see a PS Vita of the game release with the console version. Other first party titles have paved the way on Sony’s Vita. MLB 12: The Show did something similar just a month ago, and Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time was just recently announced for a dual release as well.
Just a couple days ago, Eric Ladin who voices Cole McGrath in InFamous outed a couple of yet-to-be announced characters that could be heading to the Smash Bros. style title. Saying “This is a great cast, glad to be a part of it along with @DavidBHayter (Solid Snake) & @nolan_north (Nathan Drake),” via Twitter.
