Sony has revealed the list of free games that US players will receive as part of Playstation Plus in September. As usual it is a list of some great indie titles with an extra AAA thrown in for good measure. The six games offered are a mixture of PS3, PS4, and PS Vita titles, so check out the list below to see what games hit your favorite Playstation system.
- Velocity 2X – PS4 and PS Vita
- Sportsfriends – PS3 and PS4
- Playstation All Stars Battle Royale – PS3 and PS Vita
- Hoard – PS3
- Joe Danger – PS Vita
- TxK – Ps Vita
The big title this month is obviously Sony’s Smash Bros-esque mascot fighter Playstation All Stars Battle Royale. While it might not be as grand as past titles like Battlefield 3 and Tomb Raider it struck me as the kind of game that a lot of people would enjoy, but few actually picked up. This was certainly the case for me, and I look forward to finally getting to join the fight next month.
The indie titles offer a wide variety for players, with Sportsfriends standing out as a game I have had my eye on for some time. While I haven’t played the original game, Velocity 2X also piqued my interest by looking like a great mash-up of R-Type and Metroid. All of them look to offer some unique experiences though so check out the preview video above to see which interest you the most.
