With the new slate of free games hitting us tomorrow, it’s time for our monthly look at these two services. I’ll break down all the info about the many games that you can get for free as either a PS Plus or Xbox Live Gold subscriber, then I’ll give you my thoughts on PlayStation Plus vs. Xbox Live Games with Gold for April 2017 as far as who won and why.

The Winner Is…
Well, I’m feeling very much like this was a bad month all around. Both PlayStation Plus and Xbox Live Games with Gold seem to be pretty crappy overall, though each has something that’s worth mentioning. PlayStation Plus has the brand new Drawn to Death, a game that many are excited about. Meanwhile Games with Gold has three solidly reviewed games, though they’re pretty old and are likely already in most gamers’ libraries.
I’m gonna go with Xbox Live Games with Gold as the winner here, though just barely. Drawn to Death is likely the best game out of the whole bunch, and Lovers is a solid entry, though it was available very recently for Games with Gold. PS Plus also, as usual, has more games, but a lot of them are totally skippable. Still, just looking at the whole set I feel like I’ll get more time out of the four games offered by Xbox Live Games with Gold.
