Loads of games have really gotten into the Halloween spirits, including Pokémon GO with their new Halloween Timed Research tasks! They even brought in some new Pokémon for us to enjoy, each a bit spookier than we’re used to. Though, if you’ve ever played Pokémon GO, then you know that the rewards for timed research events are well worth it! It’s always a great idea to pay attention to the current Pokémon GO event’s timed researches. Keep reading to learn how to complete all of the Pokémon GO Halloween timed research tasks!

What Is the Halloween Timed Research in Pokémon GO?

The Halloween Timed Research is a portion of Pokémon GO‘s Halloween event, where ghost-type Pokémon run wild.

First of all, let’s take a quick look at how to gain access to the event, and what sort of rewards we’ll be looking at for joining in on the Halloween fun! To gain access to the event, you have to head to the store a purchase an Event Pass for $5. When you purchase the ticket, you will also get some cool extras with it:

  • 2x XL Candies when walking with your buddy
  • 3x Hatch Candies
  • 3x Transfer Candies
  • 3x Catch Candies

The event will start on October 20th at 10 AM, and last until November 1st at 10 AM, giving you loads of time to work on completing each task.

Pokémon GO Halloween Timed Research Tasks and Rewards

The Halloween Timed Research will have to be completed in 4 separate steps, each having multiple tasks to complete and multiple rewards as well!

Step 1:

  • Walk 2 km – Spinarak Encounter
  • Catch 10 Pokémon – Joltik Encounter
  • Catch 7 Ghost-Type Pokémon – Dewpider Encounter
  • Reward: Aroados, 1 Incense

Step 2:

  • Walk 2 km – Zubat Encounter
  • Transfer 10 Pokémon – Woobat Encounter
  • Catch 10 Ghost-Type Pokémon – Glider Encounter
  • Reward: Golbat and 1 Incubator

Step 3:

  • Walk 2 km – Purrloin Encounter
  • Send 7 Gifts to Friends – Litten Encounter
  • Catch 10 Ghost-Type Pokémon – Sneasel Encounter
  • Reward: Umbreon and 1 Incubator

Step 4:

  • Hatch an Egg – Yamask Encounter
  • Make 9 Curveball Throws – Duskull Encounter
  • Catch 13 Ghost-Type Pokémon – Galarian Yamask Encounter
  • Reward: Spiritomb and Lantern Pose
