The eighth in the line-up of Eevee evolutions, Sylveon is a handy companion to have in Pokémon Go. It may not be the strongest out there, but there’s no denying you can find some usage in them against certain Pokémon foes. If anything, you can continue down the path toward completing your Pokèdex. Now, let’s learn how to get Sylveon in the game.

How to Get the Sylveon Eevee Evolution in Pokémon Go

Any Eevee player knows just how many evolutions you can go through, gaining a new Pokémon with different strengths and weaknesses each time.

With Sylveon in Pokémon Go, you’ll get a Fairy-type who does some average damage when you’re in need of those types of moves.  To get Sylveon in the game, you can opt for the quick route or the long-term route.

On the quicker side, you can change your Eevee’s nickname to Kira. With 25 Eevee Candy on your person, your Eevee will then evolve into Sylveon.

Keep in mind, though, that this is a one-time nickname trick. You won’t be able to use this again with any of your other Eevees.

Still, if you decide you want more Sylveon in Pokémon Go later on, you can still acquire them. This requires you to use the Buddy Hearts System.

First things first, you must assign Eevee to be your Buddy. Once that is done, now you must earn 70 hearts while Eevee is buddies with you.

To earn Buddy Hearts to get Sylveon in Pokémon Go, there are several things you can do. You can walk together, earning a heart every 2 km you walk. Additionally, you can battle with your Pokémon buddy and even feed them treats. All of these activities can increase your buddy hearts until you’re at the right level to get Sylveon as a companion.
