The Pokémon Company International has announced the addition of new in-game events for Pokémon GO in celebration of the upcoming launch of the Pokémon Trading Card Game(TCG): Pokémon GO expansion pack. The events will take place from June 16, 2022, to June 30, 2022, and will include a variety of opportunities to capture unique Pokémon and items. The expansion will feature cards with photorealistic artwork and unique gameplay scenarios inspired by the mobile game.

The announcement of the Pokémon Trading Card Game (TCG) expansion pack also features a variety of in-game events for Pokémon GO that players will be able to experience for a limited time.
Included in these is an in-game event that will give Trainers the opportunity to capture a Pikachu wearing a Pokémon TCG-themed hat. Additionally, a Mewtwo will appear in five-star raids, and Mewtwo V will be featured in the expansion with special artwork inspired by raids. Finally, Wimpod and Golisopod, who also appear in the expansion, will make their debut in Pokémon GO.
Trainers will also be able to collect and play with cards showcasing various Pokémon available in Pokémon GO, such as Bulbasaur, Charmander, and Squirtle, plus their Evolutions. Radiant Venusaur, Radiant Charizard, and Radiant Blastoise will appear in place of Shiny Venusaur, Shiny Charizard, and Shiny Blastoise, and will feature many powerful moves and abilities.
Pokémon TCG: Pokémon GO products will also contain promo codes that can be redeemed for various in-game avatar items, like a hat and T-shirt combo matching Pikachu’s Pokémon TCG-themed hat. The promo codes will only be valid from July 17, 2022, to July 31, 2024. They can be redeemed here.
