Roserade is a Pokemon first introduced in Generation IV in Pokemon Diamond and Pearl. It is also the evolved form of Roselia. Knowing what Pokemon Roserade is strong and weak against will help you succeed while fighting or catching it. By the end of this guide, you will learn Roserade’s weaknesses in Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl.

What is Roserade’s Weakness in Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl?

Roserade is a Grass, Poison-type Pokemon. It is weak against Flying-type, Psychic-type, Fire-type and Ice-type Pokemon. All these types will do double the damage to Roserade. If you encounter any of these types of Pokemon while in battle, you should swap Roserade out for another Pokemon type that counters these. Below is a list of some Pokemon that are strong against Roserade:

  • Chimchar/Infernape
  • Delibird
  • Zubat/Crobat
  • Charmander/Charizard

Roserade also takes less damage from Water-type, Electric-type, Fighting-type, Fairy-type and other Grass-type Pokemon. Additionally, Roserade is not immune to any type. When attacking, these moves will do half their usual amount of damage to Roserade. In particular, Grass-type moves will do only one-quarter of their regular damage. If you are fighting against Roserade, you want to avoid using these types of moves. Below is a list of some Pokemon that are ineffective against Roserade:

  • Lotad/Ludicolo
  • Leafeon
  • Shroomish/Breloom
  • Azurill/Azumarill

If you encounter Roserade, it is important to use Flying-type, Psychic-type, Fire-type and Ice-type moves while attacking. Having any of these types in your party will help your chances of winning in battle against Roserade. As well, avoid using Water-type, Electric-type, Fighting-type, Fairy-type and other Grass-type moves unless you have no other options. If you are up against Flying-type, Psychic-type, Fire-type or Ice-type Pokemon, you may want to swap out Roserade for a more effective Pokemon that counters them.
