The Pokemon GO Johto Celebration is just a day away. Through the remainder of January and beginning of February, trainers will have the opportunity to catch the three legendary beasts. First discovered in the Johto region in Gold, Silver, and Crystal, Entei, Suicune, and Raikou quickly surpassed their flying predecessors. Just like in the Johto region games, the Legendary Dogs can be rather difficult to catch; these elusive Pokemon can put up one hell of a fight. On January 26, Trainers will have the opportunity to catch Entei. Here is our guide on how to take down the Entei Raid.
Entei is a legendary beast, so trainers are in for a bit of a challenge. Entei is a Fire-type Pokemon, which means it is susceptible to ground, rock, and water type moves. Here are some suggestions to get the fire dog:
- Entei’s Raid CP is around 41,758
- Its base catch CP is between 1900 and 1984
- Entei is boosted by Sunny Weather
- Entei’s boosted CP is between 2375 and 2480
- Its fast moves are Fire Spin or Fire Fang
- It has five possible Charge Moves – Overheat, Fire Blast, Flamethrower, Flame Charge, or Iron Head
- 2 to 6 trainers can take down Entei
Suggested Battle Party
Going against Pokemon GO‘s Entei can be a formidable challenge, but with the right party can easily be taken down. If you have low-level trainers with you, you will require more than three trainers in the Entei raid. Below we will be giving you a list of the best Pokemon to take down Entei between Shadow, Megas, and everyday Pokemon.
Standard List
Rampardos – Smack Down & Rock Slide
Kyogre – Waterfall & Surf
Rhyperior – Mud-Slap & Rock Wrecker
Kingler – Bubble & Crabhammer
Terrakion – Smack Down & Rock Slide
Swampert – Water Gun & Hydro Cannon
Now we know you might not have Kyogre and Terrakion so switching in a Blastoise, Rhydon, Gyarados, or Hippowdon could be beneficial. If you are missing these, you can also substitute powerful Shadow Pokemon in as well.
Shadows and Megas
Mega Blastoise – Water Gun & Hydro Cannon
Shadow Swampert – Water Gun & Hydro Cannon
Shadow Tyranitar – Smack Down & Stone Edge
Shadow Gyarados – Waterfall & Hydro Pump
Shadow Aerodactyl – Rock Throw & Rock Slide
Shadow Mewtwo – Psycho Cut & Psystrike
If you have a mixture of these Pokemon then you have a solid line-up to take down the Entei Raid.
