While lots of countries have had Pokemon Go since July, others have had to wait. Many African countries can now download the game as of today.
The Pokemon Go Facebook page announced: Trainers in Kenya, Madagascar, Malawi, Mauritius, Mozambique, Rwanda, Seychelles, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia, Chad, Gabon, Sao Tome and Principe, Egypt, Morocco, Botswana, Namibia, South Africa, Swaziland, Benin, Burkina Faso, Cape Verde, Cote d’Ivoire, Gambia, Ghana, Guinea-Bissau, Liberia, Mauritania, Niger, Sierra Leone, Togo, fill your backpack and get ready for a hike! Pokémon GO is available to download from Google Play and iTunes!
Earlier in the week, more countries joined the phenomenon. The Facebook page further announced: “Explore the world with your Buddy Pokémon! Trainers in Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, and Mongolia”
Pokemon Go has been a worldwide phenomenon ever since it came out last July. The hype has died down a bit, although it is still earning lots of revenue and many are actively playing it.
If you are new to the game, remember to stay safe when you are out exploring Pokemon. Not to mention look out for your mobile data to avoid getting large bills.
