What’s in The Chest Pokemon?
The launch of the mysterious Pokemon “chest” website came in a Tweet from the official Pokemon Company account earlier today. It teased what appeared to be a treasure chest with a 000 countdown, the Tweet specifying that fans should expect some update tomorrow at 6:00 AM PT on November 6, 2022.
We will post the latest information that is provided when the time comes. The Pokemon Company launched the “chest” website at about 10:00 AM PT on November 5, 2022, and it has since been updated to include interactivity in the form of zooming in and out of the now-open chest.
The countdown for the Pokemon “chest” website has also been updated to read 039 (at the time of writing this). It is unclear precisely what the numbers in this countdown represent. It seems the number refers to the number of coins in the chest.
While no further information has been provided on the Pokemon “chest” website, we may already have an idea of what this whole thing could be teasing. Yesterday, PokeMiners, a group of data miners best known for data mining Pokemon GO, uploaded a video to their Twitter showing off a mysterious new Pokemon model in the game. It appeared to be a bug-like creature with a coin on its back and long antennae resembling the PokeFinder item.
While no official announcement has been made on this Pokemon, it is real, as it can barely be seen as one of the latest Scarlet and Violet trailers during the showcase of the selfie feature. It is easy to miss, but it definitely there.
This Pokemon seems connected to an event in Pokemon GO that PokeMiners have begun showing involving Pokemon encountering this mysterious Pokemon in the game. This may be a similar event to what the company did with Meltan before its official reveal.

PokeMiners also confirmed the existence of a new asset in Pokemon GO that seems to be called the “Mystery Coin” evolution item that is further connected to this Pokemon.
