Canadian based gaming outlet “Play N Trade Vancouver Island” has just announced they are officially taking pre-orders for PlayStation 5. The news, delivered via the companies Facebook page, advertises the sale of the first wave of PlayStation 5 consoles consisting of just 100 units.
The news comes as a shock to the gaming community as we are yet to see an announcement from Sony for an official price standpoint. Along with noticeably larger gaming companies, such as GameStop, still reluctant to take pre-orders.
Until we receive final confirmation from Sony as to the price of PlayStation 5, all this is, of course, pure speculation. What we do know, however, is that the PlayStation 5 still remains on track for a “Holiday 2020” launch. With Sony stating coronavirus as not having “any notable impact on the launch.” So in the very worst-case scenario, the PlayStation 5 is at max 8-months away.
Currently, the price point for both next-gen consoles, Microsoft’s Series X and Sony’s PlayStation 5, remains to be seen. However, technical details on both have already been released. If you’re dying for more information on the PlayStation 5, check out Sony’s – The Road to PS5 video here.
