It’s always hard to deal with things when one feels trapped. From the minds of Dark Crystal Games, Encased is an RPG adventure set in a future world. Will you save everyone in the post-apocalyptic world of this RPG? Or will your actions serve to further your own gains?
Encased Features and Release Date
You are stuck in a dome. Encased, if you will. But that doesn’t stop you from being able to help this world. This is the world of an alternate 1976. One is meant to explore a location known as The Dome. This location is fraught with danger. And the post-apocalyptic RPG will give you no shortage of enemies. But you will have skills at your disposal to dispatch them as you see fit. Players can choose from one of five classes: science, engineering, security, management, or convict. Sounds easy enough, right? Be aware that each class will affect starting stats and restrict certain dialogue options.
Here are some other features of Encased:
- Open-world – This post-apocalyptic RPG offers an open world to explore. Join one of the five factions occupying the world or go at it lone-wolf style. Will you change the world of The Dome? Or will you leave them to their own devices?
- Use tools to fight – Words can be as sharp as any sword. Threaten your enemies to concede. And persuade important characters for special favors.
- Level up – Encased offers players the chance to truly power their character. Will specialize in diplomacy, stealth, melee combat, psionics, or rifles?
- Make a Difficult Choice – Everyone knows the difficulty of making certain choices. Steal to complete your objectives. Or assassinate if it makes things easier. Or you could help those who need it, regardless of the possible consequences.
Encased is currently in Early Access. The first chapter and part of the second can be played. Or, if you prefer, you can wait till the game officially releases on September 7, 2021. It will be a digital release to PC on Steam, Epic, and GOG.
