The fast-paced, “anime-fighter-styled” Power Rangers: Battle for the Grid fighting game is getting a physical Collector’s Edition for PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and Xbox One this October 6, 2020. This physical version of the game will include:
- The full Collector’s Edition package:
- Power Rangers: Battle for the Grid full game
- Season 1 DLC (day one skin, 3 post-release characters)
- Exclusive Lord Drakkon Evo II skin
- Exclusive Kimberly Hart, Mighty Morphin Pink Ranger skin
- A new character, Lauren Shiba the Samurai Ranger Fire.
And if you pre-ordered the limited edition for $29.99, you will also get a bonus: two copies of the Green Ranger V2 skin. One for your own account and you can give the other to your training partner. Quite different from the standard limited edition bonus, I’d say.
- Power Rangers: Battle for the Grid full game

- Exclusive Lord Drakkon Evo II skin
- Exclusive Kimberly Hart, Mighty Morphin Pink Ranger skin
Power Rangers: Battle for the Grid first released in 2019 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, PC via Steam, and Google Stadia. It is loosely adapting the story of the Power Ranger 2018 comic’s Shattered Grid crossover storyline, published by Boom! Studios to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the original television series. As an anniversary celebration, this game is chock full of fanservice. You can pit 20 current and classic Power Rangers’ series heroes and villains in three-vs-three tag team battles not unlike Marvel vs Capcom 3 and Dragon Ball: FighterZ, with voices of the original cast members of the TV show.
Although Battle for the Grid’s gameplay does look fast and hard to master, the basic control itself prioritized simple and fluid gameplay; easy to pick up for beginners of the fighting genres while giving deep options for advanced players, which include assist-character takeover, push blocking, aerial guard, customizable juggle combos, and the never-gets-old Megazord comeback mode. Not to mention it also has cross-play features for all available platforms; so you can play with your friends whatever consoles they prefer.
