The Ninja Turtles and Power Rangers have their own comic book series this year and BOOM! Studios released pictures of the team’s new looks.
The run is currently on issue number three, and the publisher and Hasbro teased art for the fourth over the weekend. The character designs feature Zack, Kimberly, Jason, Trini, and Billy as Ninja Rangers. Each is equipped with a weapon unique to them and style that matches their ranger gear from the show and comics.
However, they aren’t the only ones with new looks for the crossover event. Each turtle has been overhauled as well and wears a full outfit matching a power ranger from the series. Leonardo sticks to his blue mask and dons a blue outfit complete with duel blades. Raphael also matches his red getup and appears to have scythes at his sides as well. But it’s Michelangelo and Donatello that stick out like a turtle on its shell. Mickey is wearing a yellow suit that matches Trini but does still have his nunchucks while Donnie mirrors Zack in his all-black ranger suit and carries an ax instead of a staff.
Even April O’Neil gets her own suit as she dons the pink power ranger attire.
The five-part mini-series is written by Ryan Parrot, with art by Simone di Meo, colors by Walter Baiamonte, and letters by Ed Dukeshire.
Issue number four of Mighty Morphin Power Rangers/Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles releases March 18, 2020.
