C77 Entertainment is aiming to revamp the multiplayer FPS genre with its first game, codenamed Project Slingshot. Project Slingshot is currently in its Alpha stages of development, but they’re gearing up for a test session pretty soon. Indeed, any courageous players can enter through the official website now to eventually receive an invitation for battle. Project Slingshot is expected to drop sometime in 2023; thus far, we only have an announcement trailer to showcase.
A New Kind of War Enters the Arena in Project Slingshot
In Project Slingshot, greedy corporations are instigating battles to reign supreme over everyone else. To truly capitalize on the violence, they’re hosting livestreams of the action for the people to tune in and spectate. Not only will the combatants fight for survival but also for ultimate fame. Players will engage in intense 16v16 strategic battles as they fight until the end. You get a nice dose of that corporate muck with the Project Slingshot announcement trailer, where a narrator explains the importance of a specific weapon with a cheese skin. Developer C77 Entertainment comprises FPS veterans from well-known studios like 343 Industries and EA Dice. The team’s goal is to embrace something new from the usual FPS routes. As said best by C77 Entertainment CEO Mattias Kylén about the nature of Project Slingshot:
