Microsoft revealed their slate of free titles yesterday and today we have a quick response from Sony, announcing the PS Plus free games for August 2017. Headlined by a couple of blockbuster titles, the free games this month might please a lot of gamers. As usual, we have six games in total, two for each of Sony’s latest platforms. Check out the list below for the entire selection.
Just Cause 3 for PS4 Assassin’s Creed: Freedom Cry for PS4 Super Motherload for PS3 Snakeball for PS3 Downwell for PS Vita (crossbuy with PS4) Level 22 for PS Vita
If Assassin’s Creed: Freedom Cry doesn’t sound familiar, that’s because its DLC for ACIV. Originally released as an add-on, the DLC later received a standalone release. Even if you don’t own Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag on PS4 you can play Freedom Cry.
Just Cause 3 is the other PS4 headliner, with the chaotic action a perfect fit for PS Plus. One game that you should definitely check out if you haven’t already is Downwell. This game was launched on mobile but has built a big cult audience over the last year.
